This is a multi-faceted position that will help you complete your PIP goals. Much of the work included social media, industry interaction, event planning, and general office assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media.
  • Collect, write, and publish stories for the College of Engineering & Computational Sciences (CECS). Stories will be published on multiple platforms (website, social media, Canvas, and print).
  • Help develop social media platforms for the college.
  • Work with the CECS Retention and Recruitment Coordinator on publicity projects, including the college’s semester newsletters.

Industry Interaction:

  • Promote internship and career opportunities for CECS majors.
  • Work with industry representatives and CECS office staff to create on-campus presentations, workshops, and opportunities for CECS majors.

Event planning:

  • Assist CECS office staff with preparing and executing college events. Events may include Lunch & Learn presentations, award banquets, Industry Advisory Board meetings and banquets, Commencement celebration, Youth Engineering Academy summer camp, PREP summer camp, and the Festival of Excellence.

General office assistance/other possible duties:

  • Update the college website.
  • Processing monthly thank you letters.
  • Review college data to help determine trends and answer questions to improve the SUU experience for CECS majors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
