Description:

  • Call Center Operators assist callers, campus visitors, and campus employees with telephone and campus navigation to correct parties.
  • Call Center Operators assist with maintenance and repair requests getting submitted to appropriate personnel.
  • Call Center Operators assist with on campus safety and emergency procedures.
  • Call Center Operators monitor campus fire alarm systems.
  • Call Center Operators take seasonal gauge readings from boiler gauges.
  • ALL Operators work some holidays, weekends, and assigned grave shifts.

Qualifications:

  • This is a very important and critical job. The safety of others depends on you. You will be dealing with emergency situations that require critical thinking and appropriate responses.
  • It is imperative that operators have excellent telephone communication, writing skills,and spelling as well as be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to read and follow directions.
  • Must be able to put work expectations above personal desires while on the clock.
  • Must know campus layout and be able to direct someone, via telephone, around campus.
  • Must be service oriented.
  • Shifts are generally 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am; adjusted accordingly for class schedules.
