Description:

The primary focus of this position is to provide assistance and customer service to the students, faculty, staff and general public who utilize the services offered by Student Involvement and Leadership. Serves as the information center for Student Involvement and Leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greets visitors in the office

  • Answers telephone and e-mail requests

  • Schedules student appointments

  • Process Photo Identification cards (T-cards) including some troubleshooting of equipment.

  • Completes some departmental word processing, forms, and schedules through computer programs.

  • Works with SUUSA/STIL leaders in fielding questions and educating about T-Bird Connection.

  • Processes and sorts mail and files office information.

  • Checking out gaming equipment to current students

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours: Between 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday with some Saturdays and Sundays (11 a.m.-5 p.m.)

Qualifications:

  • Requires a wide array of interpersonal skills.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Ability to deal with the public and college-age students in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience using, and knowledge of Microsoft suite, Google suite and the ability to quickly learn new software programs.

  • Must be proficient in spelling and grammatical use of the English language.

  • Mature, pleasing personality, and the ability to work cooperatively with students, campus personnel, and the public.

  • Dependable, punctual, professional in appearance and ability to communicate are necessary attributes.

  • Knowledge and experiencing with typing, record keeping and general administrative practices and procedures helpful.

  • Will be scheduled for shifts between 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with some Saturdays and Sundays (11 a.m.-5 p.m.)
