Description:

The Project Management Intern will work directly with the Program Manager to ensure the team is on track to complete the grant goals. The intern will mainly focus on the 'Rural Communities Opioid Response Program' grant and frequently communicate with health-care professionals. This internship will provide real-life project management experience and prepare a student for work in the health-care administration industry.

This internship is part of the Spring 2025 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager in scheduling and hosting consortium meetings
  • Assist the Program Manager in scheduling and hosting training for healthcare providers
  • Play a supportive role in completing the grant reporting materials
  • Research and assess new funding opportunities and prepare application materials (if needed)
  • Help achieve the overall goals of the grant

Qualifications:

  • A sincere interest in improving healthcare in rural Utah
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Basic computer skills (Zoom and Google Workspace)
  • Preference for strong writing skills "
