Description:

This internship is part of the Spring 2025 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

Description:

  • Work with SUU team to provide accessible content to Forest Service Partners
  • Evaluate websites, documents, and software for Forest Service Partners.
  • Support Forest Service partners by documenting meeting notes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional notetaking for various program and application development meetings.
  • Complete Quality Assurance (QA) testing for FIA applications
  • Complete Section 508 accessibility compliance testing, documentation and remediation research for FIA applications and documents.
  • Apply critical thinking skills to problem solve and create new projects.
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Full time student enrolled at SUU (preferably in the life sciences, multidisciplinary, or computer related field)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills in person and in writing
