Description:

  • This position will have specific duties in relation to a funded NSF grant and is expected to leverage their educational and/or work experience to provide comprehensive support to Principal Investigators (PIs) in managing their sponsored projects (i.e., grants).
  • They will work closely with the SPARC office to maintain training on federal and sponsor requirements, while providing PIs with direct support on grants management activities.
  • Specific project management tasks may include: preparing and submitting accurate and timely reports, reconciling budget, providing progress updates, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Currently enrolled student in Bachelor's Degree program. Preferred fields include: Business Administration, Accounting, or Other Related Field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build effective partnerships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information ethically.

Preferred:

  • Currently enrolled in a SUU Master's Degree program. Preferred fields include: Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or Other Related Field.
  • Understanding of grant compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements, with a track record of delivering high-quality reports within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and budgeting software.
