Description:
This position will have specific duties in relation to a funded NSF grant and is expected to leverage their educational and/or work experience to provide comprehensive support to Principal Investigators (PIs) in managing their sponsored projects (i.e., grants).
They will work closely with the SPARC office to maintain training on federal and sponsor requirements, while providing PIs with direct support on grants management activities.
Specific project management tasks may include: preparing and submitting accurate and timely reports, reconciling budget, providing progress updates, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Currently enrolled student in Bachelor's Degree program. Preferred fields include: Business Administration, Accounting, or Other Related Field.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build effective partnerships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information ethically.
Preferred:
Currently enrolled in a SUU Master's Degree program. Preferred fields include: Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or Other Related Field.
Understanding of grant compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements, with a track record of delivering high-quality reports within deadlines.
Proficiency in project management tools and budgeting software.
