Description:

Under the supervision of the show prop master and scenic designer, Faculty/Staff Technical Director, and Faculty/Staff Scenic Designer, these positions safely build, modify, maintain both hard and soft props, and maintain the scenic elements for all TDAA productions. TDAA Scene Shop Assistant duties may include but are not limited to framing and finish carpentry, rigging, welding, reading plans, safe tool use, sculpting, stitching and draping, mixing paint, reading paint elevations, priming, filling, finish painting, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have successfully completed THEA 1513 Stagecraft
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work at heights.**
