Description:
We are seeking up to 2 research assistants to work on a pollinator project to track honeybees to their nests and hives.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with trapping and following bees.
- Nest-searching and monitoring.
- Familiarity with basic GIS technology.
Note: This position will entail working outdoors in all kinds of weather, walking variable distances, and driving on backcountry roads (transportation will be provided).
Qualifications:
- Experience in insect and plant collection and identification.
- Horticulture experience.
- Preference will be given to students who have taken BIOL 3435 (Entomology).
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in ecological field methods.
