Description:

  • Conducts facility & lab safety inspections to identify hazards
  • Conducts equipment maintenance inspections and reports issues to the supervisor
  • Manages safety training records
  • Assists with the Hazard Communication program by managing the online SDS database
  • Conducts thermal Imaging of electrical panels
  • Assist with drafting written safety programs
  • Creates reports using Microsoft and Google Suite programs
  • Other duties as assigned

This position will be hired now to begin in August 2025

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current SUU Student
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Capable in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs
  • Ability to learn new software programs
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Ability to organize priorities and work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English
  • Must be capable of completing physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to work the majority of the shift on their feet
