Description:

This position requires student employee to perform administrative duties to assist with the mission and purpose of Guest Services at SUU. These duties include, but are not limited to: both incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails related to event coordination on campus, working with guests on coordination of events, consistent follow up with guests, including creating Facilities Use Agreements, estimates, invoicing and collecting insurance documents.

This student will mainly be responsible for coordination of events scheduled in the Hunter Alumni Center, but may from time to time, assist with events scheduled elsewhere on campus, as needed. Student will be required to learn and become proficient in CourseDog scheduling, Dropbox Sign, Word, Google Office and Quickbooks. This position requires a strong commitment to excellence, good time management skills, ability to effectively multi-task, proven dependability, with strong attention to details.

  • Prior event management experience is a plus.
  • Must be dependable and able/willing to work over campus breaks (when classes are not in session), including Winter break, Spring break and during the summer months.
  • Must maintain excellent customer service and the ability to problem solve.
  • Must commit to working 20 hours per week.
