Description:

Plan, layout, design, and manage social media content for the Community Engagement Center, attend CEC sponsored activities as needed, provide several posts and stories weekly to promote awareness of the CEC and CEC programs, work with CEC Director on content, assist office staff, greet visitors, other duties as assigned. This position also includes work in the HOPE Pantry.

Position Summary: The Social Media Specialist will support the Community Engagement Center (CEC) by planning, designing, and managing engaging social media content. This role promotes awareness of the CEC and its programs through consistent digital outreach. The position includes administrative support and work in the HOPE Pantry.

Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and schedule content across CEC social media platforms.

Create regular posts and stories (multiple times per week) to promote CEC programs and events.

Collaborate with the CEC Director to align content with program goals and messaging.

Attend and document CEC-sponsored events as needed.

Provide general office support, including greeting visitors and assisting with daily operations.

Support the operations of the HOPE Pantry, including outreach and occasional on-site assistance.

Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to clarity, tone, and detail.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Experience in social media layout, visual design, and digital marketing strategies.

Proficiency with social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, etc.).

Photography skills preferred; ability to capture and edit visual content is a plus.

Proven success in managing and growing social media channels is highly desirable.
