This internship is part of the Fall 2025 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must: Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship. Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. * Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.

The psychology department is seeking an undergraduate student for the position of Psychology Intern. This position requires a 15 hour/week commitment as the intern who works one-on-one with students and the faculty mentor in PSY 3220 Adolescent Development. Responsibilities include attending the lectures (TTH 1:00a.m. - 11:15 a.m.), preparing and delivering several lectures during the semester to students, grading assignments, developing and conducting in class activities, leading group discussions based on the readings, holding regular office hours to assist students one-on-one, and monitoring students' progress.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will have completed and excelled at PSY 1010 and PSY 2010. A strong desire to help others in a teaching role is essential. This is a perfect opportunity for confidence building and utilizing public speaking and presentation skills and will benefit students planning on obtaining employment upon earning their degree or those considering graduate school. This internship requires students to be willing to work on the Professional Internship skill development activities in addition to the Psychology Internship duties.

This Internship can be combined with a Capstone placement.

Preference will be given to Seniors and those who have completed Adolescent Development PSY 3220.
