Description:

The Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business is seeking to fill one student position. This position will be two-fold as a (1) Student Office Assistant in the Leavitt School of Business building and (2) Social Media Specialist on the Leavitt School of Business Marketing Team.

This position will start as soon as possible for training.

STUDENT OFFICE ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

  • Reception duties include greeting visitors/students/etc
  • Scheduling and checking-in advising appointments
  • Answering phones
  • Assisting office staff, professors, and students as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be organized and a self-starter
  • Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn new software
  • Some design skills for flyers preferred.

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

The Social Media Specialist will collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the online presence of the Leavitt School of Business. This role involves content creation, social media management, event coverage, and engagement with internal organizations to execute marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with the School of Business’s goals.
  • Manage social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Create engaging content, including flyers, graphics, and videos.
  • Plan and maintain a content calendar, posting weekly updates and event schedules.
  • Photograph and edit photos and videos from events.
  • Analyze engagement and performance reports using Hootsuite.
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for business clubs and departments, ensuring brand consistency.**

Qualifications:

  • Experience with marketing tools such as Hootsuite, Canva, Photoshop, and video editing software.
  • Strong skills in content creation, organization, and communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in operating cameras and related equipment.
  • Preferred: Marketing experience or pursuing a degree in marketing, communication, or a related field.
