Description:

This internship is part of the Spring 2026 Professional Internship Program. The psychology department is seeking an undergraduate student for the position of Professional Psychology Intern. This position requires a 15 hour/week commitment as the intern works with the faculty mentor in PSY 3220 Adolescent Development. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Include attending the lectures (TTH 1 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.)
  • Preparing and delivering several lectures to throughout the semester from material provided
  • Grading assignments
  • Conducting in class activities
  • Leading group discussions based on the readings
  • Holding office hours
  • Monitoring students' progress.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants will have completed and excelled at PSY 1010 and PSY 2010.
  • A strong desire to help others in a teaching role is essential.
  • Preference is given to those having completed PSY 3220 and are in their senior year.
