Description:

The Public Speaking Center is a student-run resource dedicated to helping all members of the SUU campus community prepare for presentations and public speeches.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with appointments
  • Perform office duties
  • Create and give presentations regarding the center
  • Help facilitate events each semester.

Qualifications:

  • Student must be Work-Study eligible.
  • Student must be able to work 3-9 hours per week, including a weekly staff meeting, and occasional events.
  • Student must have good teamworking ethics and habits.
  • Student must be a self-starter and anxious to help others.
  • Student must have good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Student must be able to demonstrate skills in public speaking.
  • Students who have completed COMM 1010 will be given priority.
