Description:
The Motor Pool Technician ensures that fleet vehicles are clean, maintained, and safe for travel. Working in an enclosed shop, this role combines vehicle detailing with light mechanical maintenance. This position offers flexible scheduling with a preference for morning shifts and is open to both Work Study and Regular Hourly applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough interior and exterior cleaning, including fueling, vacuuming, and washing vehicles.
- Monitor tire pressure and fluid levels to ensure the safety of all travelers.
- Perform routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and battery replacements.
- Safely utilize a variety of cleaning products, shop tools, and vehicle lifts.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Previous automotive mechanical experience in a shop setting is preferred.
- Able to operate independently and efficiently.
