Description:

The Production Lab Assistant is a student worker who supports education students and collaborates with education faculty in the Production Lab. This position is responsible for assisting with copying, laminating, printing, basic computer troubleshooting, and ensuring the lab is used appropriately. The assistant will also help manage equipment, scheduling for student and teacher use, and maintain materials and overall organization of the lab. Hours vary based on student availability. The lab is open Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students and faculty with copying, printing, laminating, and other production needs.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting support for computers and printers.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment (copy machines, laminators, printers, Cricut, etc.)
  • Help manage equipment checkout and scheduling for lab use.
  • Ensure proper use, organization, and upkeep of lab materials and space.
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to lab users.

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, including Adobe and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Apple products.
  • Familiarity with the Teacher Education Program preferred.
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Outgoing personality with good communication skills.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
