Description:

This position will be two-fold: 1) Being the outreach coordinator for the Leavitt School of Business Marketing Team and 2) Being a front-office assistant for the Leavitt School of Business. This role plays a key part in building relationships with student clubs and organizations while ensuring smooth daily operations and positive front-facing interactions. This position is intended for a Sophomore or Junior interested in gaining hands-on experience in marketing.

Responsibilities:

STUDENT OFFICE ASSISTANT

This element of the position will have a regular scheduled shift in the front office of the business building. Duties include

  • Reception duties include greeting visitors/students/etc
  • Scheduling and checking-in advising appointments
  • Answering phones
  • Assisting office staff, professors, and students as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

OUTREACH COORDINATOR:

The Outreach Coordinator element of the position will collaborate with the student led marketing team to ensure clear, consistent communication and strong engagement with students, clubs, and faculty members. This role involves event coverage, building relationships with student organizations, assisting with promotions, and helping execute marketing initiatives. This position will grow into other roles on the team, such as a Social Media Specialist, PR Specialist, or Marketing Coordinator. Duties include:

  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for business clubs, ensuring brand consistency
  • Design promotional materials for clubs as needed including flyers, social media posts, and graphics.
  • Attend club events and meetings
  • Photograph and edit photos and videos from events
  • Assist the Marketing Team with upcoming yearly projects as well as day to day activities
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize tasks; must be organized and a self-starter.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with marketing tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketing experience or pursuing a degree in marketing, communication, or a related field.

This position will start as soon as possible for training, and this role is intended to go over multiple semesters including summer semesters.
