Description:

Looking for qualified candidates to work as in-person and online STEM tutors. We will be holding sessions in the afternoon and evening Monday through Thursday. This position would be through the remaining semester with the option of continuing in Fall 2026 school year. Positions available for work-study and non work-study students

Responsibilities:

  • Helping K-12 students with their homework in math/science subjects.
  • Communicating issues, ideas, and important information with the Tutoring Center Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current SUU student pursuing a STEM degree.
  • Must be able to work shifts that will give a minimum of 8 hours per week. Hours are Monday through Thursday 2-8 PM. (priority given to 2-5 PM time).
  • Comfortable teaching and/or researching a wide range of math/science subjects but will get all subjects. Required to have finished Calculus.
  • Must be able to pass a background check through ICSD and SUU.
  • Dependable and punctual, friendly, good communication skills and must enjoy working with children and high school age students.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and neat, professional appearance.
  • Comfortable working Zoom and basic technology.
  • MUST have a driver’s license and own a car to get to work locations.
  • Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
