Description:
The primary focus of this position is to assist students, faculty, staff and the general public with questions and concerns as well as some light custodial duties.
- Greet visitors in the office.
- Answers telephone and e-mail requests.
- Completes some departmental word processing, and schedules through computer programs.
- Works with SUU scheduling department leaders in maintaining accuracy with monthly calendar.
- Other duties as assigned.
Custodian Responsibilities include:
- Vacuuming.
- Wiping tables, chairs and desks.
- Dusting and cleaning doors / windows of entryways.
Qualifications:
- Requires a wide array of interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to deal with the public and college-age students in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using, and knowledge of Microsoft suite, Google suite and the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
- Must be proficient in spelling and grammatical use of the English language.
- Mature, pleasing personality, and the ability to work cooperatively with students, campus personnel, and the public.
- Dependable, punctual, professional in appearance and ability to communicate are necessary attributes.
- Knowledge and experience with typing, record keeping and general administrative practices and procedures (will be) helpful.
