Step back in time and become a vital part of the magic at the Utah Shakespeare Festival as a Greenshow Concessions Ambassador. In this role, you’re more than just a server; you’re an essential part of the pre-show experience, blending retail precision with a touch of theatrical flair to welcome guests to the Greenshow Commons. We’re looking for high-energy, reliable people who can handle a fast-paced outdoor environment with a smile, whether they're managing brisk transactions or maintaining the historical charm of our period-appropriate costumes. If you love the arts and thrive in a social, bustling atmosphere where excellent guest service is the main event, you'll fit right in with our team. You will be expected to provide excellent guest service to enhance customers experience and meet the needs of customers with a positive attitude. Adherence to a costume policy and grooming standards – must present a neat, professional appearance.
Responsibilities:
- Serve tarts, beverages, or desserts to guests on the Greenshow Commons and USF grounds.
- Proper cash handling including greeting and service guests, taking orders and accepting payments, handling cash, debit and credit cards.
- Participate in the set-up of tart baskets, coolers, concession stands, displays, and inventory of supplies and communicate shortages or deficiencies.
- Stock and restock items as necessary.
- Insure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations.
- Perform clean-up duties after each shift and ensure that concession areas are sanitized and organized.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Prior food or retail experience is preferred but not necessary, including POS systems and cash handling.
- Prior experience in acting and live performance preferred but not necessary.
- Expected to be able to communicate clearly with patrons about customer services, products, programs, and USF activities.
- Have current food handlers permit or obtain a food handlers permit within the first 15 days of hiring.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand, stooping, and bending for long periods of time.
- Available to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
- Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a team.
