Description:

Looking for qualified candidates to work as online and in-person STEM tutors. We will be holding walk-in tutoring in the afternoon and evening Monday through Thursday. Duties include helping K-12 students with their homework in math/science subjects. Other duties include communicating issues, ideas, and important information with the Tutoring Center Manager, staff training meetings, optional helping with SUU STEM Center events, . Must be able to speak Spanish fluently.

Qualifications:

  • Current SUU student pursuing a STEM degree.
  • Must be able to work shifts that will give a minimum of 8 hours per week but could work up to 16 hours. Hours are Monday through Thursday 2-8 PM. (Priority given with 2-5 PM time)
  • Comfortable teaching and/or researching a wide range of math/science subjects. Required to have finished Calculus
  • Must be able to pass a background check through ICSD and SUU
  • Dependable and punctual, friendly, good communication skills a must, enjoy working with children and high school age students
  • Must be able to maintain a clean and neat, professional appearance
  • Comfortable working Zoom and basic technology
  • MUST have a driver’s license and own a car to get to work locations.
  • Must be able to speak Spanish fluently

Positions available for work-study and non work-study students

This position would be through the remaining semester with the option of continuing in Fall 2026 school year.
