Academic Coaching & COMPASS is seeking a Peer Academic Coach (PAC) to support a cohort of ~35 students in our Fall 2026 academic support classes. As a PAC, you meet with students 3 times per semester in 1-on-1 coaching sessions and serve as a teaching assistant for an online section of SUU 1060: Academic Wellness.
PACs support students to develop habits and skills that promote resilience, confidence, and self-directed learning. Such skills include:
- Clarifying academic goals and taking practical steps to achieve these goals
- Building motivation, self-confidence, and accountability
- Implementing routines for organization and time management
- Strengthening study skills (i.e. reading comprehension, note-taking, review, and test-taking strategies)
- Accessing resources
- Adapting to new challenges
IMPORTANT: You MUST be available for full-day, in-person/on-campus trainings on August 27 & 28.

Qualifications:
- Sophomore status or higher
- 3.00 GPA or higher
- Full-time student at SUU
- Minimum of one semester completed at SUU prior to Fall 2026
- FERPA training and certification required upon hire
- Available for on-campus training TH 8/27 and F 8/28 (all training time is compensated)
