Description:

This Career Center Assistant position is vital to the success of the Career & Professional Development Center! Help students and alumni connect with opportunities for meaningful work while deepening your knowledge of employers and careers across all industries, communicating with on-campus and off-campus partners, managing the administration of Career Center software, and assisting with major campus events.

Make a direct impact on SUU students' career development while developing your own career skills! This role offers significant opportunities to work with a team, develop your own career abilities, and make an impact at SUU!

Responsibilities:

  • Reaching out by phone, text, and email to recent SUU graduates to determine where their career path has taken them and documenting these findings following shared processes.
  • Help meet general needs of the Career Center including working the reception area, greeting guests, answering general questions, and other tasks as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Must be tech savvy: Requires high proficiency with Microsoft Office and G Suite (Google Apps), and experience with navigating LinkedIn and other web based systems.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Problem solving abilities and willingness to ask for help and input.
  • Communicate effectively via email, phone, and in person.
  • Proven ability to work independently and with a team. * This position is for 15 hours a week beginning as soon as a candidate is hired and continuing through the 2026-2027 academic year and possibly beyond.
