Description:

Under the supervision of the show prop master and scenic designer, Faculty/Staff Technical Director, and Faculty/Staff Scenic Designer, these positions safely build, modify, maintain both hard and soft props, and maintain the scenic elements for all TDAA productions.

Responsibilies:

TDAA Scene Shop Assistant duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Framing and finish carpentry,
  • Rigging
  • Welding
  • Reading plans
  • Safe tool use
  • Sculpting
  • Stitching and draping
  • Mixing paint
  • Reading paint elevations, priming, filling, finish painting
  • Other duties as assigned.

Hours dependent on production schedule.

Qualifications:

Preferred referred:

  • Successful completion of THEA 1613 Theatrical Production
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work at heights
