Description:

The Security Guard is responsible for helping ensure the safety and security of the campus community.

Responsibilities

  • Campus Building Security: Ensuring all campus buildings are properly locked at designated times and remain secure overnight and throughout weekends.
  • Incident Reporting: Promptly reporting any issues, damage to campus buildings or grounds, or suspicious activity to the duty officer.
  • Detailed Logging: Maintaining a comprehensive and accurate log of activities during each shift.
  • Event Support: Providing assistance with various campus events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Availability: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, swing, and graveyard shifts.
  • Independence: Comfort and willingness to patrol campus independently during nighttime hours to ensure building security.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
  • Personal Attributes: Trustworthy, dependable, and honest.
  • Requirements: A valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
