Description:

The SUU Community & Workforce Development department is seeking a creative, motivated and detail-oriented individual to work with our team. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Marketing & Recruitment and assist with creating digital assets for the department as well as assist with different events. The candidate should be able to design and create content for both digital and printed media, have excellent written and oral communication skills and work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design marketing assets such as flyers, social media images, emails, cards, print ads, posters, and banners.
  • Build brand templates.
  • Assist with social media calendar development and story posting.
  • Provide overall support to the marketing and community event teams with other duties as assigned.
  • Administrative office duties as needed, including providing excellent customer service both in person and on the telephone.
  • Other duties as assigned to support programs: Workforce Development & Leadership, and Community Education.

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in graphic design and social media platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Preference will be given to junior/senior graphic design majors.
  • Attention to detail and dedication to quality work.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize high-level projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Willing to work occasional weekends and evening events.
