Will award outstanding students in the Department of Teacher Education who have the purpose of completing degree requirements and certification in elementary or secondary education leading to a teaching position in an accredited elementary or secondary institution, and a minimum of two years teaching in that position. The recipients of the scholarship will agree to complete the program of teacher education at Southern Utah University with a bachelor of science degree. Should the recipient fail to complete the requirements the funds will need to be reimbursed over a period of two years from the date they received notice of noncompliance.
