About This Scholarship

Donor Biography

RoseAnn and Dale Gunther established the Launfal Foundation in 2007 in order to provide scholarships for single mothers to attend post high school institutions and support humanitarian needs around the world.

The Launfal Foundation is named in recognition of a story written by James Russell Lowell in 1868 titled as The Vision of Sir Launfal: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/17119/17119-h/17119-h.htm

Dale and RoseAnn Gunther have a rich history in Utah. Dale served as a Bank CEO and American Fork City Councilman and both Dale and RoseAnn continue to serve many roles in their church. The Foundation has helped people in need in many countries around the world. In the USA their support focuses on providing scholarships to single mothers.


Scholarship Criteria

Is awarded to caregivers of children, in a single-income household, not claimed as a dependent qualified to receive financial aid through SUU Financial Aid office. Must maintain minimum of 9 credit hours and have a 2.5 GPA.
