Announcements
Turn on Announcements in this class. This is how your CA and I will communicate with the class. It is your responsibility to monitor Announcements.
Connect Practice Sets
Your instructor and CA are here to help and welcome questions. For each module, you will be given a set of practice problems from Connect. You are welcome to attempt the problems as many times as necessary until you receive credit for the problem. These are big practice sets, as they need to cover all the material for a week and it is expected that you have multiple days to work on them. So please don’t wait until an hour before they are due to open them! It is important that you retry them until you get full credit (and understand why the answer is correct!) because along with the quizzes, full points provide some wiggle room to make up for a poor exam. Email your CA and I as often as you need. However, please do not email the question to us and expect us to do all of the work for you. Please show us your attempt and have specific questions for us. See Late Policy.
Quizzes
Your instructor and CA are here to help and welcome questions. Each quiz will consist of multiple-choice questions which will be similar in style and content to what you will see on the exams. These quizzes are open book and untimed, but must be completed in one attempt and submitted by the due date. Email your CA and I as often as you need. However, please do not email the question to us and expect us to do all of the work for you. Please show us your attempt and have specific questions for us. See Late Policy.
Exams
There are four online, timed, non-cumulative exams which you can take any time during the day. They are open book, open note. There will be no class the day of the exam so that you have more time to prepare. The exams cover the material in the Modules tab in Canvas. No Excel. Take exams with a financial calculator, such as the HP 10b or the TI BA II. See Late Policy.
Final Grade
Do the work when it is assigned, and if you are concerned about your grade, talk to me sooner rather than later. The end of the semester is not the time to show concern about your grade. Your CA and I are always available to discuss study strategies, work problems with you, and offer guidance to prepare for exams.
