7 Discussions
You will use your reflective essay to participate in a discussion each week. Your discussion post will be a 2-3 minute video of you sharing the 3 required components of your reflection essay with your classmates. Then you will reply to two other students videos with a 1 minute reply video. Reply videos should have substance, add to what the other student is saying, enhance understanding, add perspective, etc. Videos of you saying, "Hey dog, good job" are not sufficient. Please include your opinions, but make sure you include sources to back your opinion. The purpose of the discussions is to provide a venue in which you can reflect and express your thoughts with others in a positive and productive way, deepen your understanding, and broaden your worldview. 30 points each

You will have 4 activity assignments to choose from and need only complete 2. Each has specific instructions. This will allow you some flexibility on the types of activities you prefer to tackle. These activities will help you explore your culture and discover what makes you human. 80 points each
7 Reviews
You will have 7 Knowledge Reviews. Each review will consist of up to 10 multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions; and, 1-3 short essay questions. These will be timed but you may use your textbook, notes, and videos. The reviews will ensure that you have grasped the humanities basics from the provided content. 20 points each
7 Reflective Essays
You will have 7 Reflective Essays in this course. Each will have a prompt to which you will respond in a 300-word minimum narrative. Your essay should include: 1) at least two source references from the textbook, videos, articles, or website, 2) a specific connection to your life experience, and 3) specific content that stood out to you in the weekly modules related to the prompt. Your Final Reflection will show that you have made personal connections to the content and have developed enduring understandings that will influence your life going forward. This post should reflect a culmination of thought gathered during the course and answer the overarching question, “What does it mean to be human?” While you may still respond to your peers, it is not required for this assignment. 70 points each
