This internship is part of the Spring 2026 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship. Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.

Job Description:

Join our team as a Guest Services Intern, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth experience for our guests. Team members may serve as House Managers or Ticket Office Agents, working together to support front-of-house operations, assist guests, and uphold the Festival’s standards of excellence in customer service. If you're a customer- oriented individual with adaptability and enthusiasm, we invite you to join our team.

Customer Service:

  • Greeting Customers – first impressions matter
  • Answering questions – know how to find answers
  • Addressing customer complaints – resolving issues promptly and satisfactorily

Leadership:

  • Overseeing various project based on need
  • Training others to handle tasks
  • Help with event planning

Responsibilities:

  • Learn ticketing software to sell, exchange, and return tickets both in-person and over-the-phone.
  • Serving as a point of assistance and information for guests on-site.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions to ensure proficiency in assigned responsibilities and safety protocols.
  • Assisting with season setup and clean-up.
  • Undertaking other duties as assigned. showcasing adaptability and a willingness to contribute to overall team success.
  • Work some evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Typing and editing of Open Captioning materials

Qualifications:

  • Preference given to those with experience in Guest Services or related industry.
  • Demonstrates a friendly and outgoing personality, fostering positive interactions with team members and patrons.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Ability to work well with deadlines.
  • Professional Demeanor and appearance while representing the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
