Description:

This is a customer service-based Student Intern position responsible for maintaining the quality and accuracy of information distributed by the office. Interns will communicate highly detailed and complex financial aid information regarding available opportunities and eligibility requirements to people with varying backgrounds and needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide helpful, appropriate, and accurate information on financial aid opportunities and requirements.
  • Communicate detailed information to fellow students, parents, and SUU employees.
  • Ensure the overall quality and accuracy of all information leaving the office.

Qualifications:

  • SUU work-study eligible.
  • Professionalism: Excellent customer service skills, maintaining confidentiality and a friendly, positive demeanor even in difficult situations.
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in the use of personal computers, including essential record-keeping and word processing.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Work Ethic: Strong initiative, work ethic, integrity, and reliability.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
