Description:

The HSS Dean’s Office is seeking a highly organized and proactive Event & Administrative Coordinator to join our team starting April 1, 2026. This role is the heartbeat of our college’s engagement, responsible for executing high-profile events while providing essential administrative support to the HSS Leadership Team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a "customer-first" mentality.

Responsibiities:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of annual college events, including Donuts w/ the Dean, Red Riots, HSS Student Advisory Committee events, the annual Awards Banquet, and Commencement activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with campus partners (Facilities, Scheduling, Guest Services, and Chartwells) to ensure seamless execution before and during events.
  • Partner with the HSS Media & Marketing Coordinator to design and implement promotional strategies for all college programming.
  • Support the HSS Leadership Team with digital file management, meeting coordination, and the maintenance of office supply inventories.]
  • Create, update, and maintain various college reports and digital records to ensure data integrity.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and special projects as assigned by the Dean’s Office.
  • Serve as a professional first point of contact for the college, providing exceptional service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Must be work-study eligible
  • Must be punctual, responsible, organized, proactive, and reliable.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills and a professional and pleasant demeanor and appearance.
  • Must have the ability to professionally handle confidential information and complete mandatory trainings, including FERPA training, as required.
  • Skills in Google Suite applications, Canva, and data analytics preferred.
  • Prior event planning and management experience preferred.
