Description:

The Department of Computer Science & Cybersecurity is looking for students to assist CSCY faculty with general teaching assistance/grading responsibilities.Grade and assist the professor as needed, this may include: grading papers, classroom assistance, lab prep and/or lab demonstrations. May also be required to host group study sessions.The TA may assist with course-related field trips as a driver and/or co-leader, course-related planning and logistics, grading, and maintaining program equipment. Along with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Grading assignments.
  • Inputting grades and attendance, and assisting professors as requested.
  • Other responsibilities may include creating and testing homework assignments and lab exercises.
  • Duties and workload will vary depending on the assigned professor and classes.

Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Must have taken and passed any CSCY classes that you are assigned to
  • Must be able to follow directions from professors and/or supervisors
  • Must be honest, presentable, and punctual
  • Have experience in teaching assistance/grading is preferred
  • Knowledge of CANVAS and grading rubrics would be helpful
