Description:

The TRIO Talent Search Program Assistant will provide approximately 10 hours per week of office and program support.

Responsibilities:

  • Student and family outreach, data entry and record keeping.
  • Preparing program materials.
  • Assisting with events and activities, and creating and posting engaging social media content 2–3 times per week.
  • The Program Assistant may also help create flyers, newsletters, and other program communications and provide general office support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; current college student preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, word processing and spreadsheets, with the ability to quickly learn new software and data-entry systems, including Blumen.
  • Comfortable creating engaging social media content and able to make program social media posts approximately 2–3 times per week.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable communicating with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
  • Experience with office work, customer service, outreach, event planning, social media, or graphic design/Canva preferred.
  • Interest in supporting student success and family engagement.
  • Previous TRIO experience or current participation in a TRIO program is a plus..
